Lloyd Alexander is an American author who was born January 30th, 1924 and who passed from this world on May 17th, 2007. He was most known for his published works that were primarily fantasy novels for young children and young adults. His most popular work is a series of novels called The Chronicales of Prydain.
Alexander wrote novel after novel for seven years straight before his first book was published in 1955. When he decided to give writing fantasy novels a try, he succeeded immediately with his first book Time Cat. The book was about his cat Soloman who would be his constant writing companion.
The world renowned author Lloyd Alexander died on May 17, 2007 just two weeks after the death of his wife that he was married to for sixty-one years. He is currently buried at a cemetery located in Drexel Hill. His daughter, Madeleine Khalil passed away in 1990.
