Simon Richard Green was born on August 25th, 1955 in Bradford on Avon which is located in Wiltshire. Simon R. Green is a well known British science fiction and fantasy author. He currently happily lives in the United Kingdom where he continues to write on a daily basis.
Before Green became a well known fantasy author he attended the University of Leicester and now holds a degree in both Modern English and American Literature. Green began his writing career in early 1973. He completed and published his first story called Manslayer in 1976 and then published his first actual full length work called. Awake, Awake, Ye Northern Winds in 1979. Simon R. Green officially began his rise to writing success in 1988 when he published seven novels and in 1989 when he got the chance to write the bestselling novelization of the famous Kevin Costner film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves which since that time has sold more than 370,000 copies worldwide.
