November - What fantasy book are you reading?

I've just finished The Heroes. Brilliant book. My uncle has given me The War Hound and the World's Pain by Michael Moorcock to read so might do that next. Never read any Moorcock before.

It's April! What fantasy book are you reading?

Finished Reapers Gale last night. Overall sad endings for all characters apart from a few. Feel like I need a bit of counseling. Don't really know what the point of the Awl were.

March - What Fantasy Book Are You Reading?

This scares me! I'm about 60% done with Reapers Gale and there was enough new characters at the start of this one :dead:

February: What Fantasy Book Are You Reading?

Do we need more kick ass characters in this series? It's ridiculously hard to pick a favorite as it is. Hehe. Yeah i'm really looking forward to starting this one. Tehol and Bugg again yay! Although somebody did tell me on here that their best work was in MT.

House of Chains - Book 3 (Something Breathes)

Trull is a difficult one. He's introduced in House of Chains a little bit but you'll see a lot of him in the next book which takes place before all of the books you've read so far. After reading Midnight Tides I think you'll get a bit more sympathetic towards Trull. He's one of my favorites at...

House of Chains - Book 2 (Cold Iron)

Felisin Elder / Sha'ik adopted all the orphans in Sha'ik's camp the end of Deadhouse Gates. I think there's a conversation between her and Heboric over naming the little girl Felisin which makes Heboric cry like a little girl...

House of Chains - Book 2 (Cold Iron)

I started reading Night of Knives after Midnight Tides and found it really hard to get into. So I put it down and started The Bonehunters. Does Esselmont's books get better? I really want to see the Crimson Guard again which means i'll have to read his second book :)

February: What Fantasy Book Are You Reading?

I'm 3/4 the way through The Bonehunters at the mo. Going to find it hard to review this one. Some great great scenes in this book but there feels like a lot of padding out in this one too.

    Have You Read This Book?

Has anyone read any of The Clockwork Century series by Cherie Priest? The covers look fantastic.

January - What Are You Reading?

I'm nearly half way through The Bonehunters at the moment. The seige at Y’Ghatan is one of those Malazan scenes you wish you could watch in a film. Plenty of those in the series. Be grim though...

    Best Reads of 2013

Haha I'm exactly the same. When I'm reading a series I read it all the way through, no other books in between. I'm reading ICE's books as well. Still 9 books to go or 10 when Assail comes out..... I'll get to this best of list when the best of 2014 comes out :)

Deadhouse Gates -- Book 4 (Deadhouse Gates)

Book is not so fresh in my mind but I thought Kalam's journey in this book to be a little bit pointless. Good luck with MOI. I'm only a few books ahead of you guys so haven't completed the series yet but for me MOI is the best book of the series so far.
