Aka, a shame thread for When Authors Behave Badly.

Please post the book title and author name here caught self promoting, specifically by NEW members. If some of you older members are authors and mention your books once in a while, that's ok. But NEW members coming to BFB's forums to self promote are NOT allowed.

Specifically, author caught promoting self-published ebooks in the Amazon Kindle Book Firesale forum, the main fantasy forum, or any forum where self-promotion is NOT allowed.

The exception being the Fantasy Author thread and the sub-forums there.

Thanks Sneaky! :) Sorry - I did appear to delegate there, I'll be sure to remember to add to this thread when the next shameless self-promoter rears their unwelcome face!

That's OK. This particular thread is a natural fit for me...

I'll have to dig but there was one or two from a while back...

Is [author name] completely mad or something was one of them. Ted... something was another?

Holy cow, I've been gone for 24 hours and you're already filled out half a page! I guess some of those feelings needed airing. ;)
Well, if we're voting for our own favorite all-time shameless marketing thread, here's mine. Always made me laugh. I never did understand what a crispy gentleman is, and no, I don't want to find out.

I thought of that one too, just didn't get around to posting it. Definitely belongs here!

That person should get two entries in the hall. One for self promoting and another for the subject matter. Who knew (or cared) there were books about that. Who would read it? Amish perhaps. If they're even allowed. what lame content might pass scrutiny? A peck on the cheek would likely be considered racey. On the lips and the author is exiled for writing porn...

Funny thread.

That crud is apparently quite popular among "clean" romance readers and some Evangelicals. It seems quite a lot of it is being written.

Just saw this.Perhaps they might benefit from a little redirection? Remember this witty classic opener?

"It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good fortune, musr be in want of a wife" :D

Yes - I have a friend whose wife loves it - it's the harkening back to simpler times, I think. But, hey. I read about aliens and spaceships. Who am I to judge?
