I have a feeling we have quite a young population. I think mainly because Fantasy books don't appeal to 60 year olds. Maybe. I could be wrong :D But it's an impression I got from our discussions.
Myself, I consider myself young, but I feel that is relative haha ;) I'll be 31 in few days.

So here's a pole and vote if you like. The votes are anonymous so if you worry about your name being next to a number, don't. :D

I would be very surprised to see anybody above 50 yo.

33 for the next few weeks, then 34.

I still class myself in the 'late 20's to early 30's' age bracket though :)

Me too! Can't say I changed much since when I was 25, and that was 6 years ago.
@TomTheBeliever, we might have the same birthday. :wideyed:

Well early 30s in the lead so far, with 100% votes.

I'm hoping i'll still be reading fantasy in my 70’s! I figure if authors are still writing in their 60’s i'll still be reading then too.
I hope GRRM finishes his stuff before I'm 40 but I doubt it :shifty::arghh:

I can't imagine that my taste in literature will change as I get older.
I cant either. It is already too late, we know what we like. Its not like Ill ever start reading romance novels. But if I do, there is a big chance I am possessed. :greyalien:

I'm 36. Not sure why I thought everyone here was in their mid twenties? I guess our imaginations and love of the fantastical keep us young. o_O

I think I must be the youngest active forum member here. I'm 22 and have never heard anyone say that they're younger than that. You're all old.

One of my new grad recruits at work recently said he went out on a Saturday night and 'pulled a middle aged woman'. When I asked him to elaborate, he said she was 'at least 29'. I almost sacked him.

And we have Darth as honorary 50 year old. No whippersnappers under 21 either :D

I've been watching a lot of Breaking Bad lately and one of the main characters is always saying Yo. When I saw your post you reminded me of him (he's 20 years old and wears his jeans around his ankles). ;)
