A sad day indeed. Death was a fantastic character, and I always found Pratchett's take on the absurdity of sentient life refreshing, and somewhat compelling. A sort of comforting nonsense, in a way - we're all heading that way, but do stop, and have a few chuckles, before you get to the end of the line. Rather different to the epic drama and gritty bleakness I'm often accustomed to with fantasy stuff.
