Flight From Death by Yasmine Galenorn

MorteTorment

Hired Nicomo Cosca, famed soldier of fortune

Pros:

Manages to escape becoming trashy romance(it comes pretty close.
Characters which are at least a little likable at worst.
Sympathetic, powerful, and very likable main character, who happens to be female. Oh, and it's written in first person from her point of view.
Tasteful lewdness.
Sympathetic main Villain.
I finally read something set in modern day(Been wanting to for a loooooooooooooong time!)
Romance isn't so in your face, and it's more about the main cast in general.
It succeeded at making me want to see where these characters will go to from here.

Cons:
Again, borderline trashy romance.(A dragon in human form and a vampire are attracted to each other. I'll give them points for not saying they're in love, and both of them wanting to take it slow and easy. And yeah, if that makes you run far far away from this, I understand.)
Main character is obsessed with being incredibly good looking, and is teensy bit judgmental of others.(Her heart is in the right place though.)
The build up for the fight near is the end is kinda disappointing.

6/10 Would not recommend this at all, but I don't regret reading it, and I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes from here.
