I think Starfighter might have been named checked at some point in Ready, Player One too. Let's hope it's a deliberate similarity that gets named checked again..
"Yeah, we stole our recruitment policy from an old 80s movie." or somesuch

I don't know if it has been mentioned yet, but the third book in the The Faithful and the Fallen Series Ruin by John Gwynne comes out this year.

Found these out through a small YT channel called SFF180, so lets give credit when credit is due :) You can watch the video here. Along with small notes of my first impressions, provided all the links to Goodreads so if it sounds interesting to you, click on the link and you can find the synopses there.
I feel like this year will be hard on my wallet lol.

The Book of Phoenix
(Who Fears Death 0.1) by Nnedi Okorafor Expected publication: May 5th 2015 by DAW Hardcover
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/23281789-the-book-of-phoenix
This is a prequel to Who Fears Death, a novel that won World Fantasy Award in 2011. Plus it was nominated for bunch of others like Nebula or Locus awards. Nnedi is Nigerian and female author, so if you dig all that diversity thing this might be your next book.

Uprooted
by Naomi Novik Expected publication: May 19th 2015 by Del Rey
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/22544764-uprooted
New take on Grimm fairy tales. I love Grimm stories so this one is definitely on my TBR.

Seveneves by Neal Stephenson Expected publication: May 19th 2015 by William Morrow @Boreas talked more about this one in his thread
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/22752699-seveneves

The Traitor Baru Cormorant by Seth Dickinson Expected publication: September 15th 2015 by Tor
This one sounds really cool with a kickass female heroine. Pitched as Game of Thrones meets Guns, Germs and Steel.

Aurora by Kim Stanley Robinson Expected publication: July 7th 2015 by Orbit
KSR is big name in sf I think. I'm not sure, but for all you sf nerds this one might be interesting. Check Goodreads' synopsis for more.

The Grace of Kings (The Dandelion Dynasty #1) by Ken Liu Expected publication: April 7th 2015 by Simon & Schuster
Yes! More international authors. From the man who won Nebula, Hugo and World fantasy award comes epic fantasy about two friends who end up as two enemies. Definitely on my TBR.

Cold Iron by Stina Leicht Expected publication: June 23rd 2015 by Saga Press (Saga Press is new fantasy and science fiction imprint from Simon & Schuster, launching in Spring 2015)
Epic flintlock fantasy about twins, with pirates and barbarians. What more does one need? :D More on Goodreads.

The Thorn of Dentonhill: A Novel of Maradaine by Marshall Ryan Maresca Expected publication: February 3rd 2015 by DAW
This one sounds like a blast, fun and fast paced. I think it's like Harry Potter and Locke Lamora had a baby, and this was it. I haven't read either but that's how it sounds from what I know of the both. In any case read the synopsis for yourselves people. Horrible cover btw :bag:

The Fifth Season (The Broken Earth #1) by N.K. Jemisin Expected publication: August 4th 2015 by Orbit
New series by Jemisin. I don't like her books at all but if you do go for it!
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18461823-the-fifth-season?ac=1

The Whispering Swarm (Sanctuary of the White Friars #1) by Michael Moorcock Published January 13th 2015 by Tor Books
New series by Moorcock. I heard it semi-autobiographical and I also heard it's not so good. Hardcore fans only. But you be your own judge if you want.
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/20944701-the-whispering-swarm

The Black Wolves (The Black Wolves Trilogy #1) by Kate Elliott Expected publication: October 6th 2015 by Orbit
High fantasy about a disgraced soldier. More on GR.
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/20980680-the-black-wolves?ac=1

The Mechanical (The Alchemy Wars #1) by Ian Tregillis Expected publication: March 10th 2015 by Orbit
This one is about a mechanical man powered by alchemy, who is a slave to humans and has no intention of remaining as such. Sounds very interesting.
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/20980667-the-mechanical?ac=1

Time Salvager by Wesley Chu Expected publication: July 7th 2015 by Tor Books
Fast paced time travel adventure.

And last but not least...

You're welcome. I don't think of it as work because I enjoy finding new books as I do reading them :)

I know everyone here is waiting with bated breath for #46.
Either you read really fast or you have a thing for Robert Stanek :D, personally I eliminate by covers, then titles and then Amazon in that order. So Stanek never made it past the first filter.

Or you just searched the page for Stanek, which is equally weird.
