When J.R.R. Tolkien is summoned to authenticate a recently-discovered "lost" book of Beowulf, events are set in motion that years later will unveil an imminent tragedy: The entirety of the world's art and invention has been inspired by a corrupted muse, who has implanted a series of codes within the works of history's most influential authors, warning of humanity's end and a new dawn of time.

I never heard of this series and I never heard of these authors (but Eisenberg in particular seems to have a huge social network following). It hasn't been written up much but I read it on a tip from an amazon reviewer I know. You need to check this one out. It's really good and may become something major.

Thank you! I actually reviewed this book on amazon. It's still new but I will be surprised if this one doesn't eventually break out. I won't go so far as to call it an all-time classic YET because there are still 7 books in the series to go. But as a literary fantasy, a love story and a deep mystery, I just haven't read anything like it. And a note: J.R.R. Tolkien and Lewis Carroll are featured characters. It's a real interesting read.

Maybe. The above reviewers are right. Time will tell on this one but Creation is a hell of an impressive start for a series that could still go either way.
