My favorite book of all: Brimming with pomp, dire treks to the world's end, sorcery, and swordplay, marvelous heroes and villains, and Jacobean prose as well, this book outdoes all - except, perhaps, the LOTR trilogy. Even Conan, in his bloody, fantastic glory, stands aside for Juss, Brandoch Daha, Goldry Bluzco, and Spitfire and all the well-born villains who come against them. It is an odd gem, but a tremendous epic, from the wrastling in the Folliot Isles to Juss's ascent of Zora Rach Nam Psarrion; more than worth the reading.
