After being murdered and then brought back to life, Harry Dresden soon realizes that maybe death wasn’t all that bad. Because he is no longer Chicago’s only professional wizard.
He is now Winter Knight to Mab, the Queen of Air and Darkness. Her word is his command. And her first command is the seemingly impossible: kill an immortal. Worse still, there is a growing threat to an unfathomable source of magic that could mean the deaths of millions.
Beset by enemies new and old, Harry must gather his friends and allies, prevent an apocalypse, and find a way out of his eternal subservience before his newfound infinite powers claim the only thing he has left to call his own?
His soul.

Fantastic and witty Urban Fantasy with great characters. Just a heap of fun to read if you stick with the series. The first one or two books were okay, but not spectacular;, but there is a certain point in the third book where you can't put it down again, and it just keeps getting better. Mild disappointment in Ghost story (number 13), not as much seemed to happen. And after the end of Changes, was expecting more. However Butcher brought it back full pelt again in Cold Days, and amped it up again in Skin Game. Can't wait for the next book. If you want something fun to read, read The Dresden Files. If you're looking for something ridiculously complected... Go see Martin or Sanderson about it.
