The boxed set collection of the worldwide fantasy phenomenon has a brand-new look that showcases new interlocking art across the spines of the books!

The Inheritance cycle is the unforgettable, worldwide bestselling saga of one boy, one dragon, and a world of adventure. When Eragon finds a polished blue stone in the forest, he thinks it is the lucky discovery of a poor farm boy. But when the stone brings a dragon hatchling, Eragon soon realizes he has stumbled upon a legacy nearly as old as the Empire itself. Overnight his simple life is shattered, and he and his dragon, Saphira, are thrust into a perilous new world of destiny, magic, and power. Can Eragon take up the mantle of the legendary Dragon Riders? The fate of the Empire may rest in his hands. . . .

It's boring. Full of clichés. Roran Stronhammer and Nasuada are interesting and everybody else is obnoxious. It's boring. The explanation for the mystical spell that concealed the weapon to defeat Galbatorix was lame. It's REALLY boring. Eragon is a despicable main character who, when responsibility is thrust upon him, shirks it and runs off by himself, leaving the Varden in danger. An altogether terrible ending to a terrible book series. Did I mention it was boring?

What a mess! Awful descriptions, heavy-handed dialogue, clunky plot. Teenagers shouldn't be allowed to produce fantasy novels -- or encouraged with million dollar contracts. Leave it to people who can actually write.

Awful ending to the series. Its reds OK if it is your first/second fantasy series, but once you have read sanderson, rothfuss, GRRM, Tolkien and the other great writers Inheritance cycle is intolerably stupid and cliched. Not to mention the god awful ending.
amazing series | 2013-07-02 05:10:29
everything connected. the way it ended was the only way it could have and it was beautiful.

For me it was a really amazing fantasy series. The whole story (even though it has some plot issues that dont have proper answer) it keeps you really hooked. Hopefully the "Book 5" will continue the story of Eragon, Saphira and the others characters and all Alageasia word. Ps. Dragon Riders and Eldunaris are an amazing concept, which gives you a whole land of ideas for imagination.
