Xanth was the enchanted land where magic ruled--where every citizen had a special spell only he could cast. That is, except for Bink of North Village. He was sure he possessed no magic, and knew that if he didn't find some soon, he would be exiled. According to the Good Magician Humpfrey, the charts...

Pure rubbish... That's the word. I read it, because I wanted to know what you meant with ''sexual fetish''. Now I know. I feel sorry for myself, I really do.

Do not read this crap! Regular porn is better than this...

At the very least Piers Anthony is a tongue-in-cheek writer with a sense of humor, which is something many other authors of fantasy seem to lack.

Well, to be fair, Piers Anthony wrote the series as gag, nothing to be taken seriously. You're taking WILTY and then complaining that people on the show lie...

I'll be honest . . . I've only read a few of his books, but I found the first couple in particular to be pretty good. A spell for a Chameleon which was the first was inventive and fun. Fun is something you don't see much in fantasy.

The Split infinity trilogy is excellent. It's a great mish mash of fantasy and science fiction.
His incarnations of immortality series is very enjoyable to read as well.
Piers is also a good Science fiction writer and I found Bio of a Space Tyrant to be a good read as well.

Seriously no one should take the Xanth novels seriously. I'm pretty sure he doesn't himself.

I confess to enjoying a Spell for Chameleon. I didn't take it seriously. It was so stupid, it was fun to read. I read Night Mare, a novel later in the series, which wasn't nearly as good.
